Blue Lotus, also known as Nymphaea Caerulea, is derived from a flower that is thought to have originated along the Nile and other areas of East Africa. This herb was known and used by the ancient Egyptian and Mayan civilizations. The Blue Lotus flower was frequently depicted in Egyptian artwork as it was believed to be the home of Ra, the Sun God. In its natural habitat, the lily will close up at night and open in the morning, thus it was believed Ra would return to the lily during the night. Blue Lotus is also recognized as a symbol of the Buddhist religion and has been used in Eastern medicine for hundreds of years.
This oil great to make DIY products such as Shampoo, Soap, Scented Candles and Butters and it's an excellent perfumery oil because of its enchanting scent!!! Diffuse it in the room for a "wonderful" evening. ;)
